This year, we are proud to announce that the Mr. and Ms. Texas Leather title contest will be joining the Austin Kink Weekend. The original producers of these titles, Texas Leather Productions, continues to work to promote learning, sharing, educating, honoring, and working together in order to keep the rich history of our community alive. We honor those values and see them as being important cornerstones as a new guard takes its watch over our ever evolving community.

Along with Mr. and Ms. Texas Leather titles, Lonestar Pup and Lonestar Handler will be awarded during special contest events at Austin Kink Weekend, April 20-23, 2023 in Austin, Texas.

Later on this year we will also be hosting the Texas Leather Bootblack!

General contest rules & Requirements

Requirements and Expectations of our title holders

21 Years Old
Be a resident of Texas
Provide two high-resolution pictures
Promote Mr. & Ms Texas Leather contest locally, statewide, nationally, and/or internationally when possible
Promote Lonestar Pup & Lonestar Handler contest locally, statewide, nationally, and/or internationally when possible
Make a minimum of six (6) public appearances at a fetish or LGBTQIA+ events in the state of Texas during his title year.
Partner with local bars to raise travel funds
Attend and assist in the next Austin Kink Weekend contest
Maintain a good standing in the community by presenting himself with integrity
Will NOT create or promote a competing contest/weekend event without the consent of the current producers.
There is a $25 dollar entrance fee

Contest Producer - Cam O. Scott

Cam O. Scott has been a member of the Houston MISFITS for 5 years and served as the club president until January this year. Cam O. Scott is an out and proud public school teacher and co-sponsor of his campus Gay-Straight Alliance for the Houston Area. After loosing students to suicide, his personal mission is to increase suicide awareness and available resources to school faculty while providing a safe haven to youth needing a mentor. He is also the current title holder of Mr. Texas Leather.

Gael Leung Chong - IML 2023

Gael Leung Chong, who won the title of International Mr. Leather 2022 in Chicago, hails from Merelbeke, Belgium. He competed at IML as Mister Leather Belgium 2020-2021. When not in leather or attending leather events he is an architect and does interior design. Gaël and his husband have been together for 16 years and have two children, 20 and 23.

Gaël started #WeAreFetish project an online platform turned nonprofit organization that is focused on promoting inclusion within the fetish scene. He has also been a volunteer at Darklands in Antwerp, which has now become one of Europe’s premier kink/fetish events.

He says that leather was something he started by trying on a pair of leather pants at Mr. B and it progressed from there with Darklands practically in his backyard. Today he even travels in full leather, but tries to be more casual on vacations. However, Gaël says he wears leather daily even if it’s just a pair of pants.

Kaprese - Mr. Texas Leather 2019

Kaprese, a multi disciplined artist identifies as a Gear boy and Pup. He is a lover of all things gear from Leather suits to Jeweled Denim or even nothing at all. He Flags Hunter Green Right - Navy, Yellow & Beige Center. His favorite pieces of gear are his Jocks. A social butterfly and avid volunteer Kaprese believes in service as a pillar to true Leather boyhood. Kaprese is Founder of many QPOC oriented organizations in Texas. During 2019-2021 he and his sash spouse (Eli) raised funds to ensure safety, health and wellness for QTBIPOC in Texas. He is a firm believer that our differences make us beneficial to one another, and we should learn to embrace those things to "live and let live."

DogBoiBailey - Mr. Puppy France 2023

DogBoiBailey is a British pup living in Paris, France (not Paris, Texas). He is an activist, adult actor and the newly elected Mister Puppy France for 2023. He is the founder and editor of the collaborative puppy project @pawzitive.influence which raises awareness on social issues and sexual health in our community. Last year, he threw his paw into the fight against fascism and is the co-creator of the @fetishagainistfascism. He has authored articles on politics and kink with @reconnews, with other articles in the pipeline... Good boys can't afford to stay silent
