GENERAL CONTEST RULES & REQUIREMENTS

Requirements and expectations of our title holders

  • 21 Years Old
  • Be a resident of Texas
  • Provide two high-resolution pictures
  • Promote Mr. & Ms Texas Leather contest locally, statewide, nationally, and/or internationally when possible
  • Promote Texas Pup & Texas Handler contest locally, statewide, nationally, and/or internationally when possible
  • Make a minimum of six (6) public appearances at a fetish or LGBTQIA+ events in the state of Texas during his title year.
  • Partner with local bars to raise travel funds
  • Attend and assist in the next Austin Kink Weekend contest
  • Maintain a good standing in the community by presenting himself with integrity
  • Will NOT create or promote a competing contest/weekend event without the consent of the current producers.
  • There is a $25 entrance fee

Cam O. Scott, has been a member of the Houston MISFITS for 5 years and served as the club president until January this year. Cam O. Scott is an out and proud public school teacher and co-sponsor of his campus Gay-Straight Alliance for the Houston Area. After loosing students to suicide, his personal mission is to increase suicide awareness and available resources to school faculty while providing a safe haven to youth needing a mentor. He is also the 2020 title holder of Mr. Texas Leather. Also helps produce Montrose Leather Pride, and Austin Leather Weekend, two events well know for it’s diversity and inclusion.

Pup Puck, (He/They) is a 33-year-old Blackfoot/Cherokee Native American and Mexican POC Pup from San Antonio, Texas. He first wandered into the dog park in 2009 through the National Leather Association and the Misfits at Ripcord of Montrose, Houston. For fourteen years he has trained and worked as a community service pup advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights and social justice. In addition to establishing consistency amongst American critter groups, he has fought and advocated for HIV/AIDS awareness, mental health wellness and social services resource allocation. In 2021, he founded the San Antonio Kennel Klub, on the basic tenets of visibility, inclusion, charity, and education. Also helps produce Montrose Leather Pride, and Austin Leather Weekend, two events well know for it’s diversity and inclusion.

Austin Abernathy, a native Texan, holds a deep love for the leather community and a passionate commitment to supporting the queer community. Growing up in Texas, he witnessed the strength, resilience, and vibrant diversity of the LGBTQ+ community, which inspired him to show off his authentic self. Through his leatherworking skills, Austin embraces his love for creating, using his craft as a means of expression and empowerment. Austin understands the importance of representation and visibility, and he strives to create a safe and inclusive space where members of the queer community can feel celebrated and supported. In addition to his leatherwork, Austin actively engages with the queer community, through volunteer work, attending events, participating in discussions, and lending a listening ear to those who need it. He believes in fostering connections and providing a sense of belonging within the community, one person at a time. Austin’s genuine passion for personal growth drives him to continuously learn, understand, and contribute to the ongoing fight for equality and acceptance.
